About Bella Ironworks
Bella Ironworks is a San Francisco Bay Area blacksmith shop located in Alameda, California. Founded by Jill Turman in 1997, Bella specializes in traditional blacksmithing techniques, using industrial equipment, fire and creativity to turn raw steel into art. Each piece is one of a kind and designed to suit each client’s personal style and needs. Jill has worked with architects, interior designers, contractors, government agencies and countless private individuals to create beautiful, custom ironwork.
Working with Us
Each project and client is unique. The Bella Ironworks process begins by forging a relationship between us and the client. Working closely together we create the best design for the project through sketching and revising, then fabricating and installing.
Our Work
Bella’s projects range from gates and railings to furniture and public art. Each work is designed and fabricated in Alameda, California by a small team of artisans, led by Jill Turman. No two projects are alike and if it’s made of metal we can make it for you.
